Sarah Zwiep

Sarah Zwiep is a Geospatial Data Engineer at Floodbase. She is a graduate of Simon Fraser University’s School of Computing Science with a Bachelor’s of Science (2023) in Computing Science and certification in Geographic Information Science. Prior to Floodbase, Sarah worked as a Research Associate in the Integrated Remote Sensing Studio (IRSS) at the University of British Columbia where she designed and developed open-source satellite-based software tools to support Ecosystem Restoration efforts in forested ecosystems across the globe. Now at Floodbase, she leverages her expertise in geospatial data and open-source technologies to support effective data acquisition, management, and analysis for Floodbase’s flood insurance products.
