Dr. Colin Doyle
Dr. Colin Doyle is the Chief Innovation Officer and Principal Scientist at Floodbase, where he develops innovative approaches and technology for measuring flood risk and designing parametric insurance solutions. His research uses a variety of techniques from hydrology, geomorphology, machine learning, and remote sensing to understand natural and anthropogenic development of floodplains, wetlands, and water resources for long-term resilience. Colin received his PhD and MA from the Department of Geography and the Environment at the University of Texas at Austin, and a BS in Environmental Biology from Georgetown University. Prior to Floodbase, Colin worked as a researcher in the Hydrological Sciences Laboratory at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center developing near real-time flood monitoring and assessment systems.
