Alexa Lopez

Alexa works as a remote sensing analyst in quality assurance of the data developed at Floodbase. She is a graduate of Texas State University's department of Geography with an undergraduate degree in Geography Resources and Environmental Studies, and a master's degree in Geography with a focus on Remote Sensing. Her background includes the mapping of aquatic vegetation with high resolution imagery, and work with NASA DEVELOP that utilized earth observation data for urban heat mapping. Alexa is interested in strengthening scientific communication through data visualization by eliminating barriers to understanding the data and making the information relevant and usable across disciplines.
